Wow... somehow a whole 16 days has just disappeared into the distance and it has been far too long since our last post.

In our defence.. we have been rather busy with a QUICK trip away to the most gorgeous little country escape up in Toowoomba....

Plus we have a sneak peak of a few of our newest designs (they wont be ready for sale for another week but we couldn't resist sharing) there are alot of new gorgeous prints, styles and even more exciting the addition of our pure white range of christening and special occasion booties.

Newest addition to the 'Red Thread' Designs range is a delightful little crayon roll. 8 brightly coloured crayons all snugged up into a perfect little portable and tidy house. Best bit? It's fully machine washable to account for occasional of the paper mis-happs..

We have two new Magazine features coming out this month - On the 20th My Child will be released with a column signing praises for Ten Sticky Fingers and also Studio Bambini is out towards the end of the month with a FULL page feature (woohoo)!!

BTW - Has anyone else noticed our fab. new photography skills? Thanks to the best camera ever made, alot of studying at the Brisbane College of Photography and a dash of skill, Casey has been snap-snapping away!

Well it's official - Ten Sticky Fingers has gone manic with international media, celebrity endorsements and major billboard advertisements!Our BFF Paris with just loves the Strawberry Sherbet booties, if only they came in Tinkerbell's size and with a matching collar!

The world market has just gone bonkers for Australia's favorite baby boutique and we are very humbled by all the attention, especially since yesterday we were just regular Jane Doe's driving the kids to kindy and doing ironing. Although now that we are super famous we will do our best to stay grounded and level headed.

Lemon Meringue booties are so sweet and tasty they have groupies who regularly try to eat them?

PSST- We have a secret... we love to colour! In keeping with all things adorable here, we just had to make a cute little roll up organizer for the crayons and pencils to snug into at bed time.

This one was presented as a gift for the most gorgeous of little girls, who in the coming weeks you will see in our new spring summer collection..just as soon as the postman delivers our spunky new stock.. we will be sure to share that with you to!

These little organisers are just the most adorable and functional way to keep all your art supplies tidy we just had to share a few pics with you!

Now we all now kids being kids will inevitably reek havoc throughout our lives leaving behind a variable cyclone of mess.. and at some point you come to terms with this and deal with it as best you can - I believe this is called Karma from all the chaos you caused your own parents!

So you can't stop the chaos and the mess but can sure stop it from staining everything in sight and constantly reminding you of previous incidents.

We have stumbled across a brilliant site called 'Stain Expert' and believe us - they really are.

Detailed step by steps on how to remove anything from just about anything, tricks and neat little secrets are all available from how to remove ink stains, carpet stains, crayon, paints, kids craft clean up and even what to do when you don't want your tattoo anymore!

Our favorite? Removing silly string stains - had no idea it even left a mark let alone was a repeat stain offender!

Whoot-woo! Headband feaver..

First things first.. we have a FULL page feature coming up in August in the ever so stylish Studio Bambini! SO SO SO Exciting! Needless to say as it is spring/summer and we are still in winter.. we have been busy little bee's trying to organise some new 'lighter' stock and also some fab new booties. I wish I could share with you a photo of how amazing these shoes turned out but unfortunately they are with our photographer at the moment.. so we will have to keep you posted.

BUT- while you wait ever so patiently here's a few snipits of the new spring collection featuring some more lovely additions to the Red Thread Designs range formally The Red Thread (bit of a face lift.. more on this to follow), these items will become available in the following few days.

GORGEOUS headbands fashioned from vintage, new and recycled materials featuring a delightful fabric flower and one of a kind button detail. These are really comfortable as the rear tie not only has an adjustable knot but some nice thick elastic to ensure a snug and 'stay-put' fit. Also new this week is the arrival of Edward and Lilly! HOORAY!! These two little critters are a wee cat and bear who have graced us with their company at Ten Sticky Fingers HQ.. although poor little bear was so exhausted after his long journey he just couldn't quite keep his eyes open anymore.

Whilst we were super busy this week.. there is always time for an extra craft or two.. So just a quick share here of the flirty little Alice band I made for my upcoming river cruise and trivia night.. now being a Sex and the City theme you just have to get into the mood with an absurdly large feather elegantly draped across your head right? .. ok any excuse will do!

Lots of gluing and layering with the design, but essentially all I used was a plain Alice band, contrasting fabrics and some feather bursts! VOILA!

Lastly -Here's a quick snap of Oli and his Unkie Dan at our recent outing to a local indoor play centre. The inflatable castle and slide into the ball pit were a real hit. Although from experience, they really aren't made for adults to be prepared to think thin as you chase after your wee one through all those teeny tunnels and crazy twirly bits up and down.

Everyone loves a good show and tell... especially when it is filled with as much fun stuff as this one!

We kick of this weeks show with a wee snippit of our weekend project. Being mildly (OK allot) obsessed with fabric, buttons, craft, paper, trims, ribbons, thread, beads... you get the idea! We tend to have more stuff than places to put it. Recently as our collection is getting larger, the kitchen table seemed to be getting smaller.

Insert Storage solution / Super fun afternoon craftiness and TADDAH- our new sewing basket thanks to the tutorial from Craft Pudding and a few bits and bobs we just happened to have lying around...mostly on said kitchen table!

Now that we are all organised and in order we can finally show off our newest range of fabrics, these little beauties are the most adorable prints. Chickens, soldiers and in-cognito animals presented in some really fresh colours will eventually be the feature of The Red Thread' summer collection. The traditional maryjane bootie will continue to be available but with a bit of a twist for summer, as well as some fab new boots and designs.. can't reveal too much as it will spoil the surprise but we promise to let you in on the rest of the secrets very soon.

So next little delight in show and tell is ....

Wee Suzie and her teddy, Delilah Now Suzie, tell all the nice people what you have brought in today.

"Um, well Delilah has a new headband, she's a little bit shy though. It is made from um, vintage fabric, and cause it's really soft cotton with no glues or hard edges, it's really comfy. Plus - it has an elastic back but cause there is little ties over top.. you can't see them!"

LOL- Thank you Suzie.. Just a quick re-cap. Newly released from The Red Thread, headbands in an array of vintage fabrics exclusive to Ten Sticky Fingers, super soft and comfy enough for the smallest of accessorizers.. even Delilah!

It is so lovely when clients and friends share with us their 'Sticky Fingers' moments! Here are just a few of the happy snaps we received this week. In fact we are thinking we might even have a bit of a happy snap competition.. prize? A pack of sticky fingers wipes to help clean up the mess... LOL!

On a side note - I swore I would never be one of those parents I used to see with dirty kids, icky hands, snotty noses.. I used to think OMG - how hard is to wipe your own child's nose? NOW - I take it all back... I have a runny nose kid.. I swear i can wipe and blow every minutes of every day... but still he manages to always (or so it seems) to have a runny nose and subsequently sticky fingers. Conveniently the inspiration for said named site.. but still - I dream of having one of those perfectly clean and tidy children at least just for special occasions and birthdays?!

Over the weekend we were blessed with the sounds of heaven whilst we were showing our wares at the Southbank Lifestlye Markets.

The very handsome Elias has been playing guitar for over 18 years - which would seem most of his life as he is quite a spunky young man! He truly has a unique gift to encapsulate the soul enriching sounds and passion he so obviously holds for his music.

What gorgeous photo's! Taken by Kate of InHouse Studios, the cheeky Cassidy is (of course) dressed by Ten Sticky Fingers in one of our Heidi Dresses.

Kate's style is influenced by the two Sticky Kids in her life, Isaac and Cassidy. Artists impressions aren't always true to life but Kate manages to not only capture the essence of her subjects quite flawlessly but also add a dash of style and effortless design to each frame.

We love it and here's what Kate thinks;

"I’m not after just smiles, as beautiful as they are. I want serious expressions. Wisps of hair that soon won’t be wispy. The way they look at someone that’s special to them. Truth be told I bought all of these earlier in the week... if i could find my camera cable amongst all the goodies I would have posted this earlier...

So take a trip back in time to when I would have been writing this..

I got lost in a sea of cotton today, in my fabric heaven i found the most delicious prints and now have a million ideas for things to do with them. I have already been crafting away and will be adding some of the booties this weekend. But here's a sneak preview cause I know you can't wait....

Some fabulously fun fabric that will become part of our spring release including the paisley and chocolate stripe that I am dying to make into a pair of ankle boot-booties with a chocolate fringe.. Yee Haa Lil' cowboy!

this gorgeous lemon pair are oh so tiny, definitely premmie size.. but they are just the sweetest little things I couldn't wait to finish them before I showed them off!

A shoe addicts dream! All to be packaged and posted on the site in the coming days.. but if you just cant wait email me for a pre-season purchase.

These perfect pair of powder blues are just the sweetest for a little man. In fact they are so sweet when we took them to show a girlfriend at the local coffee shop we sold two pairs.. Better get sewing I have a feeling these will walk themselves of the shop floor!

Lamingtons -NEVER AGAIN!

So you live and learm... Lamingtons will never again be present in my house, EVER! (ok.. maybe when he is 18 and capable of cleaning, oh who am i kidding - never!)

Evidence of a sticky kid.... sticky fingers (no pun intended, but really where did you think the name came from?) and the most fun - finding bits of coconut and squishy lamington all through my couch for the next 2 weeks!!!

Maybe we will stick to less messy food stuffs... do they exist in the world of a todler??
